Opisthodactylus kirchneri is an extinct Quaternary bird from Argentina. Known from fragmentary material, this Pampean bird adds to the record of late Pleistocene South American ground bird diversity before the megafaunal extinction.
Diet & Feeding
Opisthodactylus kirchneri was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
