Ornimegalonyx oteroi is an extinct giant owl from Cuba. One of the largest owls known, possibly 1 m tall, this Quaternary bird was a powerful predator of large rodents in Pleistocene Caribbean island ecosystems.
Diet & Feeding
Ornimegalonyx oteroi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
