Ortyxelos meiffrenii is an extinct button-quail or related charadriiform from the Eocene of Senegal. This tiny ground-dwelling bird from West African Paleogene deposits represents early African diversification of shorebird-related lineages.
Diet & Feeding
Ortyxelos meiffrenii was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
