† Palaeospheniscus patagonicus was a Miocene penguin (Sphenisciformes) from Patagonia, Argentina. A medium-sized piscivore inhabiting cold South Atlantic waters, its fossils from the Santa Cruz Formation document extensive Patagonian penguin faunas during the Neogene.
