† Phororhacos affinis was a terror bird (Phorusrhacidae) from Argentina. A large cursorial predatory bird, it inhabited Cenozoic South American grasslands and forests. Terror birds were apex predators after the K-Pg extinction, filling niches vacated by non-avian dinosaurs.
