† Rallus cyanocavi was an extinct rail (Rallidae) from Bahamas. A omnivorous wetland bird, it inhabited Cenozoic freshwater marshes, reed beds, and estuarine environments. Rails are among the most widespread of waterbird families with a rich fossil record.
Diet & Feeding
Rallus cyanocavi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
