Surnia robusta is an extinct hawk-owl from Pleistocene deposits of Hungary, closely related to the living northern hawk-owl. This extinct species documents Quaternary owl diversity in central Europe during glacial and interglacial periods.
Diet & Feeding
Surnia robusta was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
