Traversia lyalli (Stephens Island wren) is one of the most famous extinction events, a flightless wren eliminated from Stephens Island, New Zealand, largely by the lighthouse keeper's cat around 1895. Only a few specimens were ever collected.
Diet & Feeding
Traversia lyalli was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
