Turnix sylvaticus (small buttonquail) is the most widespread buttonquail species, ranging from Europe and Africa to South Asia, with fossil material from Egypt. Like other buttonquails, it is secretive, inhabiting tall grasses and low scrub.
Diet & Feeding
Turnix sylvaticus was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
