Tyto pollens is an extinct giant barn owl from subfossil deposits of the Bahamas, significantly larger than any living Tyto species. It preyed on Caribbean rodents and other small to medium vertebrates before extinction following human colonization of the islands.

Tyto pollens was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
