Zonotrichia robusta is an extinct large sparrow from Pliocene deposits of Argentina, related to the living Zonotrichia sparrows. This Neogene species documents the evolutionary history of the genus in South America before the Great American Biotic Interchange.
Diet & Feeding
Zonotrichia robusta was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
