Acrocephalus luscinius, the Nightingale Reed Warbler, is an extinct passerine that lived on Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands in the western Pacific. About 17cm long, it was a reed-bed insectivore. The species became extinct in the 20th century, primarily due to the introduction of the brown tree snake (Boiga irregularis) to Guam after WWII.
Diet & Feeding
Acrocephalus luscinius was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
