Agamia agami, the Agami Heron, is a striking living heron of tropical lowland forests in Central and South America. About 66-76cm long, it has a brilliant chestnut-and-blue plumage with long white plumes on the chest. A solitary, secretive bird, it hunts fish along shaded forest streams. Classified as Vulnerable due to deforestation and hunting.
