† Bubo sinclairi is an extinct eagle-owl known from Pleistocene fossil material recovered in the United States. It was a medium-to-large carnivorous avian predator, inferred to have hunted small vertebrates in a manner consistent with modern eagle-owls. The species is distinguished from related North American forms by skeletal proportions and contributes to understanding Pleistocene raptor diversity in North America.
Diet & Feeding
Bubo sinclairi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
