Coelophysis bauri

Coelophysis was one of the earliest dinosaurs, a slender, agile predator from the Late Triassic. A mass burial at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico preserved thousands of individuals, suggesting they may have lived or died in groups.

The first true dinosaurs appeared during the late Triassic, including early theropods like Eoraptor and Herrerasaurus. Dinosaurs were still small and not yet dominant. The period ended with the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event.
