† Erketu — a Late Cretaceous somphospondylan sauropod from the Bayan Shireh Formation, eastern Asia. Giant long-necked herbivore with exceptionally elongated cervical vertebrae. The extreme neck proportions may have reached 8+ m. Represents the diverse Chinese titanosaur/somphospondylan fauna.

The final age of dinosaurs, featuring iconic species like Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Velociraptor. Dinosaurs reached their peak diversity before the catastrophic asteroid impact at the Chicxulub crater ended the Mesozoic Era.
