† Velociraptor mongoliensis is the type species of Velociraptor, a Late Cretaceous dromaeosaurid from the Djadochta Formation of Mongolia. Famous for the 'Fighting Dinosaurs' specimen locked in combat with Protoceratops, it bore large sickle claws and likely feathers.
