Velociraptorichnus sichuanensis

† Velociraptorichnus sichuanensis is an ichnospecies of dromaeosaurid tracks from the Early Cretaceous of Sichuan Province, China. The tridactyl footprints with elongated middle digit are consistent with dromaeosaurid trackmakers in Cretaceous Sichuan environments.

Velociraptorichnus sichuanensis was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
