Timimus

Timimus

† Timimus is a Late Cretaceous ornithomimosaur from the Eumeralla Formation of Victoria, Australia, among the very few ornithomimosaurs known from the southern hemisphere. Its discovery in polar latitudes suggests ornithomimosaurs migrated or overwintered in Australia.

The final age of dinosaurs, featuring iconic species like Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Velociraptor. Dinosaurs reached their peak diversity before the catastrophic asteroid impact at the Chicxulub crater ended the Mesozoic Era.
