† Xixianykus zhangi is a Late Cretaceous alvarezsaurid from the Majiacun Formation of Henan Province, China. This small-bodied maniraptoran with reduced forelimbs adapted for digging illustrates the extreme specialization achieved by Cretaceous alvarezsaurids.
