Zhyraornis kashkarovi

† Zhyraornis kashkarovi is a Late Cretaceous ornithuromorph bird from the Bissekty Formation of Uzbekistan, one of the few birds known from Central Asian Cretaceous deposits. This small bird inhabited the ancient shoreline environments of the Cretaceous Turgai Sea.

Zhyraornis kashkarovi was a meat-eating predator. Carnivorous dinosaurs were active hunters or scavengers, equipped with sharp teeth and claws for catching and consuming prey. They occupied the top of the food chain in their ecosystems.
