†Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest known ankylosaurid, reaching up to 9m in length and approximately 6,000kg. A Late Cretaceous herbivore from Montana, Wyoming, and Alberta, it bore an extensive mosaic of bony plates over its body and a massive bony tail club capable of shattering bone. Described by Barnum Brown in 1908 from the Hell Creek Formation.
