Datai yingliangis

†Datai yingliangis is an extinct herbivorous dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of China, housed in the Yingliang Stone Nature Museum collection. Its classification and anatomical features are under study. The specimen provides additional data on the diversity of herbivorous dinosaurs from the terminal Cretaceous of East Asia.

Diet & Feeding

Herbivore

Datai yingliangis was a plant-eating dinosaur. Herbivores typically fed on ferns, cycads, conifers, and other vegetation available during their era. Many herbivorous dinosaurs developed specialized teeth and digestive systems for processing tough plant material.
