† Ziapelta sanjuanensis is a Late Cretaceous ankylosaurid from the Kirtland Formation of New Mexico, USA. Named for the Zia sun symbol of New Mexico, this club-tailed ankylosaur adds to the Late Cretaceous fauna of the American Southwest.
