Abelisauridae is a family of ceratosaur theropod dinosaurs that dominated as top predators across Gondwana during the Late Cretaceous. Characterized by short, deep skulls with tiny forelimbs, they ranged across South America, Africa, India, and Europe. Well-known members include †Carnotaurus, †Abelisaurus, and †Majungasaurus.
