Atrociraptor marshalli

† Atrociraptor marshalli was a Late Cretaceous dromaeosaurid theropod from the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Alberta, Canada. This small carnivore is distinguished by an unusually short, deep snout and robust teeth, suggesting a different prey-capture strategy compared to other dromaeosaurids. It coexisted with Albertosaurus and hypacrosaurine hadrosaurs.
