† Bagaraatan ostromi was a Late Cretaceous theropod from the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. This carnivore, estimated at roughly 3–4 m long, is known from partial skull and postcranial material. Its phylogenetic position has been debated, with affinities proposed to tyrannosaurs, oviraptorosaurs, or coelurosaurs generally. Named in honor of paleontologist John Ostrom.
