Dromaeosaurus

†Dromaeosaurus ('running lizard') is the eponymous genus of Dromaeosauridae, from the Late Cretaceous Judith River Formation of Canada. Roughly 2 m long, this carnivore had a proportionally robust skull and powerful jaws relative to other dromaeosaurids, suggesting specialization in cracking bone. Despite giving its name to the family, its anatomy remains less completely known than Deinonychus or Velociraptor.
