† Metriacanthosauridae is a family of mid-sized theropod dinosaurs from the Middle-Late Jurassic of Europe and Asia. These allosauroid theropods, including Metriacanthosaurus and Sinraptor, were characterized by moderately elongated neural spines and were active carnivores.
