† Tarbosaurus is a Late Cretaceous tyrannosaurid from the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia, closely related to Tyrannosaurus rex. This apex predator dominated the Mongolian Cretaceous ecosystem, feeding on large hadrosaurs and sauropods.
