† Microdontosaurus dayensis was a small sauropodomorph dinosaur from the Late Triassic of China. A basal sauropodomorph from Yunnan Province, it provides insights into early dinosaur diversification in East Asia, where diverse sauropodomorph faunas flourished in the Late Triassic.
